VDL De Meeuw: innovation in modular construction
VDL De Meeuw, with a new logo but the same focus on modular construction, offers solutions for entrepreneurship, education, housing and healthcare, carried out by the same professionals.
Since 2023, VDL De Meeuw has been part of the international VDL Groep, with more than 14,000 employees in 20 countries. This acquisition brings technical expertise and growth opportunities. “We develop technically high-quality buildings and work intensively together within the group,” says Koen Lismont, director of sales & business development.
Modular construction: fast, efficient and sustainable
VDL De Meeuw uses prefabricated 3D modules, made in controlled processes. These are delivered just-in-time and assembled without delay. “Weather delays and drying times are excluded,” says Lismont. The method reduces CO2 emissions by up to 30% and prevents construction waste. Thanks to flexibility, buildings are given multiple lives through upgrades or relocation.
Flexibility and forms of use
“Our buildings can be adapted, expanded or relocated, which makes an all-in rental formula attractive,” says Lismont. The modules combine high-quality architecture and a long lifespan with technical updates.
